The Child Abuse Prevention Team of Utah County was formed from representatives of different county agencies and citizens concerned about the rise of child abuse in our county. The CAP team consists of members from governmental and private agencies as well as private individuals. The team’s function is to coordinate efforts to prevent and respond to child abuse as well as promote public awareness of child abuse and neglect and the resources available for prevention and treatment.
Support the Team Through Involvement in Community Events and Organizations
Prosperous communities are based on successful families which are based on caring, compassion, understanding, respect and forgiveness, where every child is valued and loved.
Some children are just not that lucky. Abuse of children is a major problem that affects not just the abused child but the family and community they live in. It is all our responsibility to protect the vulnerable and the weak of our society.
The purpose of The Utah County Child Abuse Prevention Team is to educate the community on the impact of child abuse. Additionally, efforts are made to prevent further abuse and to provide intervention when needed. We advocate for public policy and programs that will enhance the quality of life for children, families and the community as a whole. We encourage every citizen to become involved in these efforts.
